Brand and Logo Design
DRESSING UP DIRT SINCE 1995
Jobsite Products Inc. is a local company that provides industry-leading products for erosion and sediment (E&S) control, stormwater management, and geosynthetics. By excelling in doing this, they successfully enter the civil, environmental, construction and landscaping industries. They reached out to me for a logo refresh and brand definition to support ongoing marketing efforts.
It was going to be important that the fresh look be true to the original logo, which has a lot of recognition in the industry, and so that it would not move the logo too far from what exists on signs and trucks. I was excited about the opportunity and felt like it was the perfect opportunity for a design collaboration with my fellow Sessions grad and long time connection Jonathan at Geared Agency.
After gathering info in my brand questionnaire, Jonathan and I put our heads together on concepts and then each submitted a select number of our designs. Given our two different design styles, I was very pleased with the breadth we were able to offer the team at Jobsite Products. We also defined some visual styles through my mood board process, expanded the brand color set and created a custom set of badges to use in marketing materials.
We kept the original letter form of the JP in the logo, then added an updated font, some finishing elements and aligned the colors with those already in use on the website. We also included versions that worked in all black for embroidery and a multi color version for contrast. The JP in the circle can also be used as a complete, standalone element.
Badges and Brand!
After the mood work and logo reboot, we worked on the custom icons or badges to tell important stories about the brand. And I compiled the results in a new brand guide to help employees and future vendors properly handle the Jobsite Products brand.
A great experiment in collaboration and I am super pleased with the results!
