DESIGN FOR AN ONLINE WOMENS’ SUPPORT GROUP
Brief
This logo was developed for a blog that doubles as an online women’s support group. The blog has long been a place where women come to be helped on a journey of healing and self-growth and where many women discover how strong they are in a kind, supportive and compassionate community.
It was important to the author that the new logo capture the essence of the community; a safe place where women (and some men) show up for acceptance, support and to hear from others who share a similar story and experience. This logo shows a strong woman with wide roots like a tree holding a star over her head to light the way for others.
Supporting pieces include art around the tagline “My Heartbreak. My Rules. My Healing.” which were worked into a new, custom header for the blog.
It was an honor to work on the design for this compassionate and inclusive online community.
Extras
I also helped revise the BlogSpot header and colors to coordinate with the author’s new book and in support of a retreat that was held in September of 2018 for group members. This was a simple, but impactful update to the blog’s appearance.
Honorable Mention in the 2019 International Design Awards.
