I am really serious about Christmas and finding unique gifts for people I care about. For the holidays in 2018, I decided to put my design skills to use and made bar logos for a few of my friends. I asked them all to come up with a name for their imaginary bars and probed a bit for dates, back story, details and even menu ideas.  When completed, each person got a flag imprinted with their logo, a set of social media graphics and a write up of their bar story with drinks and food menu.

It was great fun and an opportunity to stretch my design thinking and concept development skills.  I did most of these over the course of two months, because who doesn’t like a little artificial deadline pressure? The logos were a big hit. And who knows, maybe we’ll bee some of these bars in real life one day?
