Community Impact Poster

COMMUNICATION PIECE FOR AN IMPACTFUL PARTNERSHIP

Brief

In 2018 I was fortunate enough to work on this informational flyer/poster design about the new partnership between Hands from the Heart Home Healthcare, a long time client, and the Hairston Foundation, a new non-profit, founded in 2017, serving seniors and those with disabilities living at or below poverty levels in Philadelphia and surrounding urban areas.

The poster needed to show the broad reach of both organizations and how their services complemented each other, as well as detailing various programs and initiatives. There were already several logos in place but one needed to be created for CADA, the Center for Aging and Disability Advocacy. The client had a very clear vision for this logo so we worked through to this grasping hands with diverse skin tones pretty quickly.

It was essential that the visuals tied both organizations to their Philadelphia roots. With all those elements it was going to be a challenge. We went with an illustrated Philadelphia skyline built from recognizable landmarks and then a timeline style treatment for all the various programs and entities. And finally, some descriptive text below. This was to be used as a communication tool for potential partners, government agencies and potential donors.

Results

The client was really pleased with the end result and we are now working on a content and web design project for the Hairston Foundation. It is such a privilege to work with clients who are so passionate about what they do and those they serve. More on this incredible organization with heart and the good work they are doing, coming soon!
